Blues Fest Panama

The festival will take place in Panama City, Republic of Panama on 2, 3 and 4 March, 2013. The location of this event will be at  ATLAPA Convention Center. The entrance to ATLAPA  will be monitored and controlled.

CHARITY

This year, a percentage of revenue from the tickets to the festival will go  for the  benefit of the programs developed by the National Cancer Institute.

INSIDE FESTIVAL

We will offer  two stages  of artistic actions, located at the islands of Atlapa.

We also have a jam session area (bar), where artists will present themselves interacting with festival visitors and  repart autographs, sell their  CD´s and Videos while they wait for their presentation.

Additional  to this area, you as a sponsor, may also have an information booth, to achieve better positioning of your products and services. The size of the space of the stalls in question, is according to the type of sponsorship you choose as a sponsor. The adverstising sponsor is accountable for the given area, as well as staff that the advertiser has available within its space. PRESENTATIONS AND GENRES

The festival will feature presentations from ten international bands and performers. We have scheduled  that these presentations will include artists of the genres Chicago, Delta, Texas, Memphis and New Orleans.

DYNAMICS AND ACTIVITIES

THURSDAY, MARCH 1

We have agreed with five (5) bars and clubs in the City, so that at this night, the invited bands do a  short presentation of their repertoire, where attendees will have the opportunity to have an overview of the different styles of the genre.

Advertising and consumer input in these activities will be coordinated with the managers or owners of such clubs and representatives of the Association.

These presentations will begin at 8pm and will not extend for more than one hour.

FRIDAY, MARCH 2

The activities of this day begin at  the Convention Center, at 9:00 am, with the clinical session.

Then the activities continue in the same Convention Center from  1:00 pm on. The doors and jam area (bar) will be open at 1pm, to allow the bands interaction with the general public.

The presentations of concerts start at 2pm and run until 10pm.

During the presentations and the jam session, members of our Association duly identified, will be collecting donations. This year all the proceeds from these donations will go to benefit the programs developed by the National Cancer Institute.

Next, the activities will move to the same bars and clubs previously assigned to a post show where those attending the festival who have acquired the entrance to these locations will be those who will enjoy at the forefront of these presentations.

SATURDAY, MARCH 3

The activities of this day begin in the Convention Center at 1pm. The doors and jam area (bar) will be open at 2pm, to allow  the bands interacion with the general public.

The presentations of concerts begin at 3pm and run until 10pm.

SUNDAY, MARCH 4

In the morning the artists begin the activities of this day with a visit at the old city of Panama and some other points of interest, culminating in a visit at the Miraflores Locks on the Panama Canal.

Then they will restart activities at the Convention Center at 3pm. The doors and jam area (bar) will be open at 3pm.

The presentations of concerts also begin at 3pm and run until 11pm.

CLINICS

In the morning of Saturday 3, we have agreed with some clinical unions of artists. These clinics will be fully free for all those interested in taking part in these. The clinics will include lessons on instruments such as electric guitar, bass, harmonica, keyboard and drums.

INTERNATIONAL BLUES FOUNDATION

During the development of activities, the Executive Director of the International Blues Foundation will be present and  will attend some of the festival activities prior to and during the festival to support the promotion of the event in general.

CONTINGENCY PlAN

We have previously inspected the area where we will realize the event, in order to carry out the preparation of our contingency plan to cope successfully and effectively to any event that is given during the presentations.

This contingency plan will include implementation of effective techniques of communication between principals, institutions of first aid and control by the festival organizing team, and also groups with the audience.

Additional to this we will have other details such as meeting spots, places where lost objects will be returned, traffic routing, evacuation plans, contacting the media, among others.

AREA RESTAURANTS

At Las Totumas we will  have restaurants to offer attendees an area where they can have a picnic, while carrying out presentations.

PROPOSED VEHICULAR CIRCULATION

We have agreed with the authorities  of the ATLAPA Convention Center, to reorder the vehicular traffic within the Convention Center, and thus a better re routing of traffic.

Highway 61 (ProRock)

Our band will be part of the Festival.  Let´s go with Blues Fest Panama!
